Origin: Dr. Kheta Ram Jaipal hails from Bhure ki Basti, a remote village near Tehsil Gadra Road in Barmer district.
Family: He grew up in a nine-member family led by his father, Shri Narsa Ram, a farmer.
Economic Challenges: For families like his, summer vacations and Diwali holidays were opportunities to work in the city to supplement their income, rather than times of rest.
Educational Journey:
Schooling: After completing his 10th grade from a village school in 2012, Dr. Kheta Ram enrolled in the arts stream for his 11th grade due to the absence of science facilities in his village and a lack of guidance.
Discovery of Fifty Villagers: It was not until the following year that he discovered Fifty Villagers Seva Sansthan. In 2013, he passed the entrance exam, securing a place in the 11th-grade science stream at Fifty Villagers.
Medical Career and Achievements:
Medical School: Dr. Kheta Ram’s journey through intermediate studies to medical school was marked by hard work and perseverance, culminating in his admission to AIIMS Rishikesh in 2017.
Current Role: He later completed his MBBS degree and is currently working as a Junior Resident.
Pioneering Achievement: He is proud to be the first doctor from his village or block.
